Today, it was time for the grill to take a turn

Two flank steaks with pickled jalapenos pressed into them, a little of the pickling juice added as a vinegar marinade, and vac sealed.  Set it aside for a couple of hours


Fresh jalapenos from the local farm market.  These suckers were hot


On the grill.  You can still see the imprints from the jalapeno slices that I pressed into the meat.


Good sear, good flavor


My wife made homemade pico and tortillas, and we added a little cilantro lime rice.  Good stuff.


Well, that's it.  Tomorrow's menu features a breakfast fattie, buffalo burger lunch, and pulled pork for dinner.
