They look good!  My last onion soup burgers, I sifted the package to remove the dried onions. They never seem to hydrate enough, but added the rest of the package. Adding the cheddar would be even better!

When i make "juicy lucy's" [that's what i call them] [burgers with good stuff inside] i usualy cook them first and then put them on top of the first pattie and then put the other pattie on top of that and seal as best as possible. I'm sure others do it as well.  the thin patties for this type of burger dont take long to get done so the goodies inside need to be happy already.  of course cheese will be great just stuffed in as is.  Whatever i put inside, goes on top as well. Makes for a real "juicy lucy".   I have one of those 20 dollar pattie makers which does a good job on thin patties. Reinhard
