Hello all great to have found this forum and sorry I am just getting around to my introduction. We are in washington state and  I just purchased a MES 30 and I am very excited to get started.I intend to use it for well everything meats, fish and cold smoking cheeses and such soon as I get teh attachment.  I do have a quick question someone mentioned adding a amnps to to smoker I looked it up and was wondering if it replaces the current smoking system of the MES?

Welcome from NW Florida. I have done a lot of reading on here and I do believe that the AMNPS does replace using the chip tray on your smoker. I know that once a few other members on here that use the AMNPS will chime in and answer the question. I plan on ordering one here soon.

Welcome, Rupes!  You've found a great place to learn and share ideas on our favorite pastime...Smoking and Grilling great food!  There are lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here who really enjoy helping one another.  Just ask when you need help and you'll get plenty.

The AMNPS will replace the chip loader/tray in your MES very nicely.  I ordered an AMNPS at the same time I bought my MES40, and NEVER used the chip tray once.  That little maze will produce hours of thin blue smoke without reloading.  IMO it was the best tool I purchase for smoking in my MES.
