Hello. Got a new vertical smoker for Mothers Day, so excited to use it. Have never smoked before, hoping this site will be helpful. Live in Northern VA and Whole family loves BBQ.

Would you do us a favor and add your location to your profile, it helps others to know where you are when they offer advice, Thanks!

You might want to check out Jeff's Free 5 day E-Course, it will teach you all the basics plus a whole lot more!

It is a Char-broil vertical charcoal smoker. Wanted a Master Forge or Brinkman but neither in stock and this seemed close. Figured a decent starter and then we'll move on to something else after we get this down.

I got the master forge for my starter 2 years ago and still love it. Search your model in the search bar, you should be able to find some mods to make it a better running unit.
