Pulled Pork...Start to Finish

So I got a hankering to smoke something and decided that I wanted it to be pork so I went to the store and picked up a nice pork picnic....decided on pulled pork as a finished product. I've been having trouble getting the picnics in the past up to at least 205 internal to make it happen and having to settle for chopped instead of pulled but this time I finally got it.....see the process from start to finish below....hope you enjoy and as always, any critiques or advice will always be helpful....usa.gif

Michael, hello , and a good looking Picnic there; seems you got it right drool.gif. I personally like Butts better, but in a pinch the Picnic is useful.

Good pictorial too.

Have fun and...

Sorry it has taken so long to get back. The picnic I used was about 4 1/2 pounds and I used Jeff's Rub on it and cooked it for 9 hours. I wrapped at the 7th hour and just let it cook in foil for the last 2 hours. After it was shredded my wife and I tore it apart with some "Mild Bubba Q Sauce" (Thanks for the recipe by the way.)The claws that I got are good but this is the first time I have used them and I noticed one of the welds was broken when I went to wash them. I don't know if it happened when I was pulling or while I was washing. I think I am going to look for something that is more one piece construction when it comes to the claws....usa.gif
