Hi my husband and I are new to the smoking world. We purchased and Webber Smokey Mountain Cooker. We smoked our trail run and it was not very good. Can anyone give us and tips, hints, and or advise on how to improve our food quality.... We LOVE to cook and have ppl over for partys. We are from North Alabama and BBQ is in our blood. I have mastered slow cooking in the oven and that no longer satisfies us we are ready to enter the world of Smoking!!

Start small....youtube can be your friend.  Watch some videos of how people use their smokers and try to duplicate it. Little by little you'll learn from experience what you like and don't like, what works and what doesn't.  Welcome to the wonderful world of smoked meats!

You can get lots of great tips on here, from books or as mentioned above on youtube etc.

Also 3 words...practice practice practice.  The more you cook the better you will get!  And then as a benefit you get to eat what you cook!
