Ive been visiting this site for a few weeks and am just amazed at the amount of info thats available, Ive recently purchased a 38" verticle Smoky Mountain smoker. For the past few yrs Ive been attempting to smoke using my Weber grill and while dinner usually tasted good it wasnt what I was looking for. Grilling is good but smoking is where its at! For my first smoke I choose a whole chicken, olive oil and a basic cajun rub. From reading alot of other posts I know pictures are worth more than words and while best intentions where there I was like a kid a Xmas and the camera wasnt a toy I was giving much attention too. Dinner was great but the real treat was the next day smoked chicken soup. Wow!!!! I wont be throwing out any birds before a quick boil. Ribs are on the menu this weekend and Ill have the camera at the ready. Thanks for all the great info thats shared on this site.
