New to forum and new to smoking

Hello everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is William. I either go by Bill or Will. From Wilmington, DE. I worked for a home builder for 20 years until the market went sour. Now work as a maintenance mechanic.

My wife and I just our purchased our first home back in November. Last week I had an opportunity to purchase a smoker from my wife's coworker. It looks like a brinkman r2d2 model.

Do not really know much about smoking. Looking forward to reading the forums and learning a few tips.
