A couple of weeks ago I got a 30" Masterbuilt 1st Gen Electric Smoker.  I have used it 4 times.  I have done baby backs, ham, pork spare ribs and a whole chicken beer can style.  So far so good.  Love it and the food it has produced!

I also purchased a top rated Maverick ET-732 wireless thermometer.  You know the one that monitors the meat temp and smoker temp.  It works great from the unit that sits at the smoker but the wireless unit that you can supposedly take up 300 feet from the transmitter loses signal after 5 feet.  I  set it up/synced outside and then came in the house (1 wall seperated) and it drops the sync after 5 minutes.  And it happens over and over.  Has anyone here on the forum experienced this and if you have how did you fix it??

Looking forward to your reply

Welcome aboard, Robb! Glad you joined us. You've found a great place to learn and share ideas. Lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here who really enjoy helping one another.  Just ask when you need help and you'll get plenty.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Mav.  I've never had that issue with mine, so I may not be of any help, but someone who has dealt with that problem will likely be along to offer some advice.  It is possible you have a bad recieving unit?  You might contact Maverick and ask for some assistance:

Good luck!  I hope you get it ironed out....when they work properly, those Mavs are hard to beat.

Welcome to the forum!

I've had sporadic dropping of signal on my Mav but not consistent, is this happening every time? It could be a mixture of the walls and maybe metal components in your house.

But as stated above...maybe contact the company and they send you a corrected unit
