Howdy y'all!

for the past 3 years my friend has invited me over to his house to have easter dinner with his family (since my family is a little far away for a easter suday drive)...the first year i made the pepper stout brisket (recipe from this forum)...and they request if every year.

So my plan for the day is to smoke the brikset till it's 165-170 IT then throw it on a bed of veggies in a baking sheet and into the oven at 350 for 3 hours or so till it shreds apart! Since i have plenty of room i've also thrown on a couple chickens and some spare rib trimmings .

I got up at 730 this morning and threw everything in the smoker. Brisket was rubbed with my pork rub and some chipotle powder.

everyone all lined up to jump into the smoker

Pork rub...a couple hours in i plan to smother these in brown sugar and hopefully make some nice pork candy

Rubbed inside the skin

everything on the top shelf

Stay tuned.....

Lookin' good so far!

The Pork Candy came out great! it was a crowd favorite! Smoked the ribs tips for 3 hours then covered in brown sugar and let go for another hour! Wrapped and rested for about 2 hours in a cool. It made a nice little glaze in the foil that i poured back onto the meat

Here is the brisket about to go into the oven. The plan was to cook for 3-4 hours at 350..but unfortunatly my friend needed oven space for other things (his house his rules LOL)...so i didnt get a proper long cook on these so it was tender but i had to chop into pieces instead of letting it cook down so i could shred it. People still loved it though! I didnt get a chance to take a served picture..it was being picked out to quickly

Thanks for looking
