Hiya! I've been lurking here for a few weeks, doing research, trying to make a decision. Finally ordered my first smoker - a Smokin-It #2 - on Friday afternoon; delivery expected Monday. Really looking forward to it.
I'm located in Rochester Hills, Michigan, married, have two daughters, one step-daughter, and 10 grandkids between the three of them along with "one player to be named later" (about October 1). At least we know what our kids are doing in their spare time!
Heavily into music - both building and playing guitars and mandolins. Huge fan of vintage jazz and swing, and some classic rock as well. Also into astronomy and photography. Spend the summer in a 5th wheel with my wife and a 25-lb. black Maine Coon cat.
Retired at 52 in 2007 after 22 years in graphic arts/public affairs at Ford; now re-employed the last five years in IT at General Motors.
