Above is the link to the entire album devoted to my brother's smoker trailer.  Last week he made an addition to compliment the smoker.  It is a two-burner propane grill.  This allows him some flexibility to what he is able to serve and do when he cooks for crowds.  In order to make room for the grill, he had to remove an 8ft. prep table from the trailer.  A small stainless prep area was mounted.  It also serves as storage space for the propane bottles and accessories.

Here are pics of the modification.

grill and storage box.  top of box is stainless and can be used for prep

two burners.  lids on stacks are rain caps exclusively

propane bottle & accessories stored in this box

small propane torch for lighting the burners.  bottom right corner shows a compact weed burner that connects via quick couple at the smoker's fire box.  It is used to start the wood for smoking.

air inlet for burners.  disc catches grease from food and burns it

it also protects the burners from being dripped on

close up of stacks--these have to be opened before lighting the burners and must remain open for proper grill function

this burner is the same one used to heat water in "Hotsy" power washers

Well, what do you folks think?

Having tasted many times the unbelievable "Q" coming from "The Legend" over the years, I can only say... "you're a tough act to beat!"

Keep up the good work!

Thanks, Steve.  After using it on the maiden run, there is a learning curve.  I had the air inlets open too much which exaggerated the hot/cold spots within the grill.  It's definitely not the same as using my charcoal grill.  I cooked burgers (with JD Steak seasoning), boneless pork loin chops (with Dale's XXX rub), and a whole bunch of polish sausages.  I did have a couple of burgers that had to go back into the grill to finish cooking.

I think it will be a great addition once I've cooked on it a few times.

That is an awesome rig!

I've already asked Santa for one...he said "Fat Chance smoker boy"

Well, if you can't have a smoker like this one, maybe you're getting lumps of coal in your stocking.  You would have fuel for your next smoke.

This Christmas, set out ribs and beer instead of cookies and milk.  That's been know to change Santa's mind about these things........
