I know it's an odd introduction but it's a throwback to my service days. My name is Chris. I have been smoking for some time now. I have visited this site quite often in the past and this morning I decided to join and give back some of my recipes, tips, etc. since all of you have been so helpful in the past. I hail from Phoenix, AZ. But my roots are in upstate N.Y. (Go Yankees!!). I do have a question if someone could help out. I would like to start a forum and have my own little slide show but I cannot find where to add.

Well, I look forward to sharing and spreading the joys of smoking excellent meats!

I don't think I know what you mean by starting your own forum? Only Admins can create "new" forums but you are welcome to post in any of the existing ones.

Hi Chris!  I think you want to start your own "thread".  First, what is the topic?  Once you know that we have multiple forums to choose from, just pick the one that most closely relates to what you want to post!

And now...

 to the SMF, the best BBQ site on the web.  Whatever you need to know about the fine art of BBQ you can find it right here, from recipes to technical knowledge.

One thing you need to know about us is that we like to see pictures of your creations and your gear.  We call it Q-View and its basically the 

!!!

Welcome to the forum.  Exactly where in upstate NY?  Born and brought up there, moved here to Fort Worth 18 years ago.
