Whats up SMF!!! happy to become a member..I'm 27 and an absolute newb with this stuff, I have a ton of questions.. I bought a Brinkmann TMLE yesterday, put it together and seasoned it last night.. I really want to do some ribs today but I am having some issues with starting temps and what not... I have been searching for the answers to my questions and I'm hoping to find them here.

I learned about smoking when I lived in San Antonio for a few years, my brother in law turned me onto it and I've aching to get one for the past 3 years.. finally got one. he would use small logs of pecan, cherry and hickory which I cannot seem to find around here to smoke brisket, ribs and chicken.. it was amazing. I will be using Charcoal and Pecan wood chunks to get my meat done but not not until I figure this thing out.

I'll be posting somewhere in a few minutes some questions to starting. Thanks all!
