I've used different seeds the past few years. Gurneys, Jung, and home depot seeds. I'm looking for treated seeds. They are hard to find. I can remember farming and the bean and corn seed was treated and grew beautifully. Any ideas?

I bought some Gurneys treated corn seed, (Bodacious) and it did not germinate well ...  Less than 50%....  Untreated seed from my local Feed Store, over a year old, I did a germination test 2 days ago and it was 100%  , (10 seed test)....  I guess my Feed Store owner knows where to get seed....  I've pretty much given up on big seed companies....   1 pack of big seed company seeds said, "Product of China"... Go Figure..

Kind of. Pelleted seed is seen encased in a clay like material. Helps with small seeds like broccoli or onion to make planting easier. Plus the clay material breaks down slowly and retains moisture to make sprouted seeds germinate better with constant moisture retention. Treated seeds help with disease and lack of/excess moisture
