My first post that will end with a question. Learning the ropes as a new user so please forgive if some "stupids" creep in. My name is Gaff and I live in Lewisville, NC which is near Winston-Salem.  Being semi-retired with a love of cooking we make a lot of our meals at home. I purchased a large Green Egg last fall and love its ability to cook pizzas but now I'm on to roasting MEAT (ie. BBQ!, Hey, I'm in NC after all!). I ordered a DigiQ DXII and it is supposed to arrive today, I can't wait! So here is the question: when the DigiQ is all hooked up and running on the BGE with meat inside, is the vent on top open? In some pictures/videos I've seen the top vent seems closed. Thanks for any help and I realize that instructions may come with the DigiQ but it is not here yet. Looking forward to some ciber grillin' with you folks... later!
