Just recieved a smoker for christmas and was so pumped to smoke something! Decided to start with a chicken seeing how cheap chicken is and if it turned out bad it wasnt going to be as frustrating. Never brined it but made a spicy rub. Rubbed it 12/28 and threw it in the fridge for the night.
Took it out the next morning and fired up the smoker to around 200. Some reason i could not get that smoker hotter so i just went with it. Ended up taking around 8 hours in 30 degree weather but wow did it turn out great!
I am addicted to smoking now!
