Hi all, Been hanging out at the fridge/freezer forum since I found this great resource for smoker builds I dont know how I missed that build area as I have been checking out the recipe section for a few months due to my 15yr old sausage making addiction always on the lookout for new recipes. I have built several smokers over the years elec and propane but I've never really been satisfied with any of them. Many of the manufactured smokers I looked at recently have been way over priced, lacking in size and quality for the $$$. That brings me to SMOKING.COM.

About three weeks ago a friend called me and told me that he found my smoker.

"Oh really?" I said, He says yeah its an older stainless steel freezer its in really good condition and its free. WOW now this is going to be a fun project, then I stumbled upon the

fridge/freezer smoker forum and have been reading nonstop ever since.

Residential construction is what I have done for 25+ yrs but here in NW Washington we all know that went down the tank so now I make my living as a airplane mechanic. my hobbies are hunting, fishing, hiking and cooking.
