New to the smoking scene. Looked at alot of grills and smokers. That's what I want a grill/smoker if I'm spend 800-1000 dollars. I've looked at the trager Brinkman, Dakota grill and the green mountain. I really like the pellet grill and I think I found the one I want. .........GMG has my thumbs up. Thanks for the great reviews about the grills.

There is tons of information on this forum ,
My personal advice is to find something you think you might like and do a search on hear this should let you know all the pros and cons.
And if the search shows up nothing it's prolly not a good buy.
My personal Arsenal is a weber smokey mountain (2) actually, I use this for smoking large cuts like pork shoulder brisket ... It's easy to clean all the fat out, I use a smoke vault (gas) for jerky or sausage, I use a little chief for all my fish. My grill of choice is my weber 22.5 kettle but if I just want to cook a steak or burger it's a gas grill....

Welcome to the addiction Finkster I'm sure someone will be along shortly so help you on your grill/smoker choice.

Can't wait to try some smoked meat from my local GMG salesman. He's supposed to bring the wife some smoked ribs and butt this will be the decision factor I hope she likes it. I want to get my GMG for the whole family to enjoy the great tasting food. Not just myself.
