I was just wondering if anyone on here has ever tried BBQing more ribs than needed and then vacuum sealing and freezing?  I have never tried this and was wondering what might be the results if done in this manner.  Basiclly, I never vac seal anything that has been smoked other than pulled pork, salmon or fish, and of course sausage of various kinds.  Would ribs work doing this?  If so, what would be your method?

I do this most every time I cook ribs. Put a folded over piece of parchment over the ends of the bones so they don't poke the bag.  Reheat in oven.

Yes. I've vacuum sealed and frozen smoked ribs. I haven't really put the time length to the test because i end up eating them all within a month or so. I just get them cold in the fridge and then vac pac them, with my Food Saver, in small packages. When I pull them out, I boil the bag in a pot of water for a while. They come out tasting like i just pulled them out of the smoker.

Tarbaby. Hello. Yes you can freeze Ribs , or any type of BBQ . Although I don't beleive in Nukeing them before eating(does something terrible to the texture of the meat ) . I feel placing them in a pot with boiling water and heat it to temp. is better.

Have fun and...

I wondered about heating them that way. I have prepared lots of fish using that method.
