Sooner born, sooner bred, when I die I'll be sooner dead. Unfortunately I live in northern Florida but will forever be a Sooner. Grillin for a long time, smokin for a few months. WSM 22.5. All is good - use the maverick temp gauge. Having a problem with keeping the temp constant. I use the minion method but find myself up and down adjusting the vents. I have smoked enough to have seasoned the smoker. Any suggestions/tips would be appreciated.
Boomer Sooner!!
Just to be clear, I root for all Oklahoma teams, including OSU, except when they play us.

I don't use charcoal much but I have a Mini WSM and I have found with it I need to make small adjustments to the vents and give it 15-20 minutes to stabilize. It's easy to overcompensate with the vents and not giving it time to settle down it's easy to do again. I have read a lot about how good the WSM is with consistent temps and that's why I built the Mini. Hang in there and take your time and I'm sure it will all come together for you!
