Hello all its been a while since i have posted on here, but i have been busy with the kids, and such.   However we have started a Christmas Tradition of smoking on Christmas.  Last year we did a farm raised turkey, brined and cut in half, and it was delicious!!!! So this year I got a half of a small hog from a buddy of mine and we cut off what would be the ham and smoked it (skin on) on Christmas day!!! It turned out amazing!!!!  I love the new tradition of smoking on Christmas !!!

Great tradition.

Some of my fondest childhood memories were of preparing family meals with my grandparents.  Grandaddy took care of the grilling and frying fish outside and Grandmother would prepare miraculous sides, breads, and deserts in her kitchen!

Good memories and good food go hand in hand.
