My 732 bbq temp for no reason just jumped from 230 to 326 on a lp masterforge vertical please help 14 lbs of butt in there as we type

At least those are reasonable to replace. Good luck with the smoke, may have to pull the met temp and use as the BBQ temp, then just stick the butt from time to time to see where you are at.

I've been wary of mine since I got it. First time I used it I had to finish two chickens in the oven because the temp probe made me think the smoker was hotter than it was. Next time I'll place a thermocouple to each probe and record what is really happening. Until I'm sure the Maveric won't get to solo again.

I had the same problem with my 732 the smoker probe was reading about 110 degrees high I tried everything with no luck until I went to use it a week later and boom just like that it was right on the money again.  Not real sure how thats even possible but its been working great the last  few times i've used it.
