We smoked about 32 chicken thighs for the Super Bowl here in Baltimore with snow flurries falling on us.  Picturesque? Yes.  Did we take pictures of our ugly butts standing in the snow?  No.  You're welcome.

We did snap a few pics of our chicken though.

The small square at the top left is a nice piece of salt port we threw on the smoker because we could.  IT WAS DELICIOUS.

A picture of the 6 pieces that we would have submitted, were this a comp.  We ate them, instead.

All that and a Ravens win?  PERFECT DAY.

Hey all great pictures! I had taken great pictures of everything I cooked, but unfortunately my almost 3 year old son got ahold of Dads phone and deleted the most recent about 40 pictures. Does that terrible twos thing go away when they hit 3? Anyways I snapped a picture of tonight's dinner which was left over ribs, so it's better than nothing.

I really like a lot of delightful soups at a BBQ like a cous cous healthy salad with chili peppers, excellent, cashews, cook pumpkin etc, or a awesome spud healthy salad with bread and red red onion.
Or how about doing a cook in the bbq?

Did some ABT's, Wings, and spiral hot dogs for the kids this weekend. Only got pics of the ABT's though, and not even finished pics b/c people were plucking them off the smoker as they were finishing. Doh! They were good though.

This is my first run at ABT's. Lots of fun to do and were really good. My wife didn't think they were worth all the effort, but I sensed a little resentment on her part when I was prepping the ABT's b/c she claimed that "cooking" was her thing and I was "taking it over"!

Used some "Dutch" style bacon I got from the local Polish market. Looked and tasted like a mild ham. It was ok.

Those ABTs look awesome.  Mind if I ask what you put in them?

My wife wishes I'd cook all the time and not just week-ends for other people!  LOL

You could always let her help you!    Hand her the knife and have her cut the hide off a shoulder and see how long she sticks around.  :-)

Funny you say that, Im a weekend cook myself, and I always get the "you need to start pulling your weight cooking during the week"  Lol

Dan- My son is gonna be 8 in a few weeks and still has his moments, lol

Hey Wes,

It wasn't too elaborate, but I did use the whipped cream cheese as opposed to "block" stuff. I also used a three-cheddar shredded cheese blend and doubled the amount of green scallion/onions b/c I had some fresh ones. I think the best part about the ones I made was the bite-through texture. The bacon was salty and smokey and jalapeno was crisp and fresh tasting, with the cream cheese melding it all together.
