Gonna try my hand at some pulled pork tomorrow for the super bowl. Bought a 3.7lb pork shoulder last night and later this evening I'll season it up and let it sit in the fridge over night. I'll throw it in the smoker first thing in the morning. Can't wait!

If this is your first one plan in 2 hrs. Per lb. if it is done early, wrap in towels and place in a dry cooler. It will give it a nice rest and will stay too hot to touch for hours.

It will be my first and I already have the cooler dried out just in case. Thanks for the advice.

Oh yeah I forgot, I did what Johnny Trigger does. I used lawry's season salt & fresh ground black pepper instead of Jeff's rub.

Here's a pic after 2 1/2 hours of smoking. I had to add water and cover it in foil.

Gorgeous!  Nice juicy and a nice smoke ring too!

Thanks! It looked good, smelled good and tasted good. The first time I have ever done pulled pork, I'm hooked!
