Hi, new to the site. I have had a Big Green Egg for about 10 years and use it for both low/slow smoking & high temp steak sears. I have had 2 of the cast iron fire grates that support the lump charcoal crack in half. I was wondering if anybody has had a similar experience and if an alternative to the factory cast iron grate was found? I could make my own out of a piece of stainless but was wondering if there would be expansion issues which could crack the ceramic. Thank's, Tom.
