well one thing i need help with is picking a smoker.. there is soo many out there and so many choices how do i start to narrow down what i need and want?

That's a tough one for someone else to answer. A few things to think about....how much do you want to spend?...how often will you be using it?....how many people will you be cooking for?,,,,how much do you want to cook at one time?......how much do you want to babysit the smoker?

There are a lot of good smokers out there in all the different styles...electric...propane...charcoal...wood and you will get different opinions from all the different users.

There are some good threads here where others have asked the same question:

Hope this helps a little and take your time and do a lot of research and get what's best for you!
