hello everyone! new to the forum but not to smoking, going on about 13 years now been doin it, the old school way!! no fancy electronics, not even a meat thermometer! I learned from my grandfather while I  was growing up. He passed about 15 yrs ago, and his smoker (he made it at work, he did machine repair at Ford Motor Co, so its built "Ford Tough" lol) sat in the garage for a few years till I decided I missed his bbq. so my grandma said go ahead and try it, so I did, and have not been able to stop! this thing is now getting close to 55 years old. it does not seal, it has one access door on the side a bit bigger than my hand, that works as the "intake" as well as the only way to put charcoal or whatever in! it also requires a full time baby sitter, it once went for almost 45 min unattended! I am so glade I found this place, I am getting ready to build a new one with a recent score of mine, so I thank you all in advance. any how here are a few pic of the ol girl, and the new one to come...

well thanks for looking!
