Thanks for having us on here, I look forward to reading furture threads and giving my .02 where needed.  We are from Lampasas, Texas.  We have been cooking and competing for a while, all in good fun of course.  I have a unique pit at home where the firebox and cooker are not attached.  I burn the wood in the back down to coals then shovel the coals under the meat up front.  Definitely a converstaion topic at cook-offs.

 aboard!!  Your pit sounds interesting, how about some pics you can share with us. We are not only a hungry bunch for smoked/grilled/bbq'ed/hell any way of food but also for the 'tell-all' pics. Enjoy share and just have fun-excellent bunch of folks here with just about any advice you can imagine to think of needing.
