I am new to this forum, but not to doing the Q.  I really enjoy cooking in my Big Block Smoker.

I think I have done just about everything but fish(my brother-in-law does that).

I am hoping that someone can help me with a question.  We are going to Oregon the middle of next month.  It is a 6hr drive and I want to make something ahead to take with us(meat).  We will be staying at a koa and will not have access to any type of bbqing stuff.

So I would like to know what you folks might recommend.  Type of meat does not matter.

Thanks for the help in advance

Welcome felow Washingtonian!!! I would pre cook and shred a roast or but, vacume seal and freeze it.When you get to the koa just heat and put on some buns.

Yep, I was thinking the same....do up a pork butt with some finishing sauce, vac seal. Then at the KOA's you could probably just simmer those bags in water to heat & eat....have a safe trip
