This baby just went in the smoker for my first go with pork. Brined for about 14 hours, gave it my first try at a bacon weave, and here we go.

I cooked it at 228, and the family decided to cut the bacon layer to about half next time to let more of the smoke flavor come through.At the right temps, the bacon probably wasn't required.
But what isn't better with bacon?

Nice looking loin! One of my favorite things to smoke!Looks pink in the picture, but I pulled it at 147 and let rest for about 45 minutes. Temp peaked out about 151.
Tender, juicy with a very nice smoke. Very happy for my first run.
