Wanted to get in here and say hello to everyone! Really looking forward to spending hours on this forum to make smoking one of my new hobbies. Thanks ahead of time for all of your help and assistance!
I live in NE Oklahoma and had my very first smoker, MES 30 (Old Gen) delivered yesterday. Needless to say, I was excited to get off work and assemble it which went together without issues and looks great. Tonight I will be seasoning it so that when the in-laws arrive tomorrow, I will be in the middle of my first smoke with a brisket. Hopefully I can manage the first smoke and test it out on family (hopefully they don't lie just to be nice). Either way, I love grilling and wanted to pick up a nice smoker to see if this is something that I want to pursue as a hobby. Thanks to these forums, it helped me pick my smoker and has given me a good feeling for the brisket process tomorrow.
