Have a Weber kettle, Char-Griller super pro charcoal. I also have a trailer cooker that I have acquired from my Dad some years back, he made it out of a 250 gal propane tank about 30 years ago ( if I only had a nickel for every piece of meat that was put into it). I have since replaced the  bottom in it about 4 times and now it totally gone. I have been looking into making another but not really sure what I want  to do. I am interested in the reverse flow design but don't know much about them. I am currently making a small reverse flow out of a 100 lb tank to see how it works. I have been looking at the Langs but that's not in the budget right now, plus being a DIY'er I prefer to just do it myself.

The home made smokers are really cool. I have no metal working skills so I just have a WSM , but it makes pretty good 'cue...... Post some pix of your build. Everybody loves that stuff , plus you'll get some good tips...lots of knowledge on this site. Good luck , brotha!

I'll try to take some pics. Sometimes I get in the zone and forget to stop and do things like that.

Welcome!  Glad to have you join us!  Gotta show some pics of your  Dad's build.  We would love to see it!
