my wood pellet assortment  order for the AMNPS came a few days ago,  right now ive got a few trays with  the Jack Daniels wood.

photo's are being held for a few days,  a direct like might work,  anyway I'm loving the AMNPS already, it has allot to offer for cold smoking.,  first night i had it i put 2 pork steaks in my GOSM for a few hrs,  it did a good job but not to keen on the oak that they sent to me by mistake, i ordered hickory

The AMNPS comes with some oak as part of the deal. If you ordered hickory as well but got something else just send Todd a pm & he will correct it for you - he has the best customer service this side of Jupiter!

some pellets come with the package deals but todd was sold out on the one i wanted and then his order form had a problem with my credit card  declined,   he offered to send me an order form to bypass the one on his web site,  but i found one of his dealers (BBQ island)   still had them in stock and the 20lb bag pellets was $24.99, 

then i went back to Todd and told him that i found one and ordered it and then i wanted to order the rest of the pellets from him and to sent the order forum,  8 e-mails later  and no response back from him so i gave up waiting on him and went to BBQ Delight for more pellets,  after him trying to help me and i go to another place and got it there, so ya hies kinda pissed at me.

I have a Nesco dehydrator that my sister gave me, works good, but they're a pain in the rump to clean!!!!

That's the only thing he doesn't like - stuff gets dried on the trays & he has some extra holes in a few now from cleaning. He says some of the trays seem brittle compared to others

  He sure makes some great dried fruits & trail mixes with it...
 
Ive got a Nesco and a Garden Harvest dehydrator 

used the Jack Daniels pellets on these,  ill dry a tray of it to see how it tastes.

2 more trays going out for a pecan smoke.

Cool! How do you like the meat mixer? Does it work for small batches or does the meat just ball up & flip?
i love it,  beats mixing by hand, the smallest Ive done in it was 3lbs and it did a good job,  it might do 1 or 2 lbs ok but i haven't tried it, i have mixed 10 to 12lb but not over that,     mixing jerky you crank on it till your arm feels like its going to fall off and then your done

  i got that the year LEM came out with them and lucky that i got one that year.

ironic that you brought that up, by Sunday i have a full fledged head cold, cant smell or taste anything, today the hospital that i work at called me to fill in for another person, so i took some mesquite and pecan to a coworker that's a born Texan to try it and evaluate it on the amount of smokiness, all the batches had the same amount of pellets for 3 to 4 hrs, he loved it, the mesquite was perfect but the pecan could be alittle stronger, so I'm starting to take notes on everything.

 these test batches used up 13 lbs of meat so I'm going to start adding beef to make it last longer,  i noticed that a box of black Angus patties cost just allitle more then ground chuck  and i only get 3 burgers from a pound of hamburger, and you get 6 patties from the angus beef so i got 2 boxes  with no intent to make jerky out of it,   i  got Black & Bleu  and Chipotle with monterey jack,  

both have cheese in them,  never heard of jerky with cheese in it but would it be that bad?
