Lurker for awhile now

Tired of just eating everyone else's. Q

Jumped off the deep end and got a char griller smokin pro for Xmas to feed myself and stop waiting for others


Got it together

Did all the mods after serious reading

Sealed sfb and stack

Baffle

Tuning plates

Stack extension

Charcoal basket w/ new grate

Tool holder

New wheels

Took it all back apart

Multi coats of paint

Sanded n stained the shelves and handles

Waiting on paint to dry now so I can season and get ready for first run w/ meat

But how many goofs made a testarossa out of a t/a.?? And if the wife asks I got a cheap smoker under $200 to learn on And the better I get the more I can justify a Lang or something nicer

Well ......
Now I remember why I hate high heat paint


Been seasoning since 1230 and side fire box at the top of door bubbled down to bare metal
Seems like maybe I should have sanded down the box before coating it


Been screwing with the tuning plates and got the temps close end to end now


Oh we'll coated fire box in oil and it looks ok
