Happy New Year Everyone!!!
This is my 5000th post and I can't believe it! I never thought I could talk that much. I'm usually a pretty quiet person but I feel so "at home" here I guess i talk a lot. This has been a Great year and SMF has really been a big part of it for me. At a time in my life that I really needed this you all were there for me. Last year I had a little trouble at work being too outspoken and talking before thinking and then SMF came along and asked me to be a moderator and taught me to really think before I spoke. It's kind of stupid of me for it to take 50 years to learn this but I guess I never had the right teachers.
First I want to Thank the admin staff, First Jerry for putting your name out there for me and trusting that I would do a good job and Jeff for taking Jerry's word and trusting me, Brian for working with me and answering questions when I needed help and Yea you too Dutch for always backing me up, Thanks!
I also want to Thank all of the Mod staff that makes this forum the Best forum on the Net! You guys know who you are and so does everyone here, they really look up to you so keep up the good work!
On the personal side there are so many and I know i will probably forget some so my apologies up front but you should know I always think about you! Gary (Damn I miss you dude!) Jimmy, you guys have inspired me so much and given me so much help I can't hardly reach in my spice cabinet without thinking about you. Alesia, how can I beat you to the next post, but really your recipes really inspire me. Rick, thanks for making me spend a bunch of $ to make sausage, I hope 2013 will be a tube filled year! Pops and Martin, I can't walk in my kitchen without thinking "is everything clean and at the the right temp" or "am i using the right amount of cure" Thanks Guys!!! There are so many more, Ed, Jeramy. Joe, Al and Al, Bear,Oh how could I forget Eric! Eric Thank You so much for you technical info and teaching me me the "Dry Smoke Chamber" technique. It is awesome. I have learned so much from all of your posts!
