Hi Everyone!

I'm Tim from Menasha, WI (about 30 minutes south of Green Bay) and I'm 26 years old.

I just received my first charcoal smoker for Christmas and plan on firing it up for the first time tonight. In the past I used a Weber Smokey Joe and tossed some smoking chips on top of the coals and had good luck smoking brats and chicken legs like that, hopefully I'll have even better luck with the new smoker. The smoker isn't the greatest but it will get me started, it's a Grillpro vertical charcoal smoker.

I haven't tried smoking food during winter in the past so that will add to the fun today when I try to smoke some chicken legs and potatoes.

Overall I consider myself a newbie when it comes to smoking food so I look forward to reading through the forums and learning from everyone and will hopefully be able to give advice in the future. I'm always open to any tips or suggestions.

Have a great new years,

Tim
