Hi all,

    My name is Travis and I am new to the forum. This will be my first post so i apologize in advance for any error. I have enjoyed looking at the numerous builds on the site and decided to share a few of my own. I operate a custom fab business and have built several cookers. This is my most recent build and still in progress. Im looking to get some feedback on what everyone thinks both likes and dislikes.

I'm building my own trailer. I wasn't going to post these photos because i am changing the design but since you asked about the trailer I'll go ahead and post my original intentions. The green box on the front is going to be a rotisserie cooker with five revolving racks. Originally planned to mount it all on the same trailer but decided its too big. Especially since I plan to use the reverse flow smoker for competitions. So the green box is being removed, and ill drop back to one axle and shorten the trailer.

 
I didn't like the looks of the box. It takes to much away from the smoker. So it will be mounted on a separate trailer later.

How wide and deep did you make the warming shelves? Are they big enough to hold multiple full sized hotel pans?
 
Warming box is 24" deep by 37.5" wide. I didn't really think about the pans that's a good point. I built it to those specs to get the most yield out of my material as I was using 4x10 sheets of steel
 
I just measured one of my pans. It is 21x13. So it looks like 3 pans per shelf. Depending on the spacing between the shelves, that is a good deal..... So assuming there are at least 5" clearance, that gives you 15ea - 4" pans that will hold enough for at least 50ea pulled pork sandwiches. I would say you could do a good sized function and that is not even looking at what the cook chamber can have in it at the same time....... That will be one heck of a catering trailer........
 
Sounds like the pans would fit perfect. Almost like I planned it that way lol. I'm modifying my trailer again (for the 3rd time haha) today. Ill try to post up some more pics this afternoon.
 
Added the rear stove top, bent some handles for the doors and a front shelf. Also fit the 10" stack onto the smoke chamber.


I have both handles made. Just ran out of 7/16 bolts to bolt them on. Decided to make them bolt on to make it easier for the two tone paint job. 


What are your preferences on counterweights for the smoker doors?
 
I really like the stovetop. I hope you don't mind me stealing that idea. I was thinking of just buying one, but I already have 2 burners that need a home. No need buying a flimsy piece of junk, when I can build one like that.

Feel free. Just a piece of 1/4" plate and 5/8 solid square stock.
