Cant get this smoker hot enough.  I know the thermostat that comes with it is wrong and have one hanging inside.  Have tried adjusting the vents, turning the propane on slow, nothing makes a difference. Doors on this one close tight.  Not smoke coming through them.  About 205 degrees is all I can get.  Flame looks good.  Any more ideas anyone?

Close the bottom vents completely. Keep top vent open 1/4. Put master forge propane mods in the search bar. There is a couple threads on mods. Water pan is too large I cut the front and back edges off of it. I also took the bottom vents off and put them back on backwards this sealed them off completely. They are pretty much useless because it gets enough air flow through the bottom. A lot of heat escapes form the vents. I also use sand in my water pan it keeps temps more stable. Check your therms in boiling water to test them for accuracy.
