Northeastern Michigan
Hi all, I have been reading posts on this site for about a month now and decided to finally join in the fun sharing experiences and unfortunately pitfalls now and again.  My name is Andrew and I am located in northeastern Michigan.  I have just started smoking meats about a month ago so I am still quite the novice.  I have always loved jerky so that is obviously what I started with.  First tried beef (didn't want to waste my venison if I screwed up) and had great results.  I am bored of making jerky for now and moving on to bigger things like sausage, ribs, and turkeys that require a bit of a learning curve for me.  I work professionally as a Network Administrator and got the smoking itch from a co-worker, that's all it took and I was hooked.  Anyway, long story short is that I just purchased myself a Masterbuilt XL which I still need to work on modding and intend to get some more experience under my belt and enjoy the fruits of my labor while sharing experiences in the forum.
