Hi fellas, My name is Ben I am from Adelaide Australia. I recently was over in the US and fell in love with the way you fellas do BBQ. I work over in a Gold mine in Russia as a mechanic so I figured I would put my hand skills to good use and build a smoker. I had an old hot water system and got it blasted then cut it up and went from there. After lots and lots of research I think it turned out pretty well. Its got a big charcol basket with dividers to use the minion method I put a plate on the bottom to make it reverse flow and made the chimney a little lower in the pit. I have only done dry runs with it so far to learn it as I am going to get it ceramic coated and I want to do all the mods first. I can get about 8-9 hours from a basket at 220, which I think is pretty good! I have been reading your forums for months and cant wait to put some of this theory to test!
