I will start by identifying myself as "Randall" from Massachusetts "newbie".

Well, after watching all about it and sitting through the awesome aroma of freshly smoked carcass multiple times from a coworkers lunch, I had to step up and make a purchase.  I recently bought a Masterbuilt Charcoal and Propane Steel Smoker from Home Depot.

I attempted my first smoke of baby back ribs using lump charcoal, which if I may say so, came out very well!  The next weekend I smoked a 4+ lb piece of salmon, which was even better.  While the fish cooked I added chicken breasts which were just ok.

I have looked through many of the forums and postings and gained a lot of good advice, I made the necessary modifications to my chip pan and purchased a Amazen tube and some other necessities, but I still need a few others and hope Santa is good to me!

Well, anyway I plan on reading up and smoking a lot, so keep it coming and thank you for this!
