Smoke Blower
Original poster
Hi all, I am a newbie from central Alabama. About 30 miles or so east and slightly north of Birmingham. I found this forum while searching for info on building a smoker. Actually I did build an offset a few years ago and never really realized the problems I had until recently. I discovered that the fire box was WAY too small as well as not having adequate venting. I am in process of turning it into a RFS. I will most likely soon to post in the build section for a bit of advice there. I don't use my smoker as much as I would like, mainly because of the problems I have with it. I am hoping that after the mods it will be better to use, fortunately I work in a fab shop, so I have access to steel, welders and cutting torches

Not that I can claim to be a welder. I run a break press. I am a bit of an outdoors man, I like  to hunt and fish. The only problem is that work gets in the way of that far too much. I have found that most anything you can think of tastes better with a bit of pecan smoke
