Thick cut bacon brushed with Vermont Maple Syrup, then dusted with brown sugar and a pinch of cayenne pepper for just a hint of heat at the end.

Smoked with a Hickory, Oak, Cherry blend.  Flavor profile is awesome.  Next time I think I'll try some turbinado sugar though.

And I'm sure the names not original, but what else would I call it?

We had a cook at a bar used to work at that was a former cruise ship cook that made this all the time. He used to get so pissed when we would end up eating it all. He made it for BLT's but very little if any made it into sandwiches when I was around. We just called it bacon candy.

HA!  That's funny!  I'm not sure I would put this on a BLT, but it does goes great with beer.
Looks delicious!!!

That stuff looks ridiculously good, thanks for the link, I am going to have to try that.

I did just have a piece of the ba-candy and a Krispy-Kreme donut, they complimented each other quite nicely.  :-)
