I am returning a Master Forge Electric Smoker that i bought at Lowe's. It basically died and they will take it back. I will probably get a store credit. I saw online that they sell a Char-Broil TRU infrared electric smoker and roaster for a little more money (fine with me). Does anybody no anything about this smoker. Reviews on Lowe are very positive. On Master Forge the reviews are really negative. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Go with the MES 30" from Gander Mountain.  $129.  Lowest price I've seen. Plenty of people will vouch for it.  Plenty of good reviews.  I have it and love it.

I would say the MES 30 from Gander at that price is a winner. I am not familiar with the CharBroiler model....

I am not sure if they are on sale, but if the MES 40 is not much more. It gives you more space to work with and you should not have to cut racks of ribs in half to smoke.

I think Cabelas, Bass Pro, and Home Depot sells them.

I would search for Masterbuilt 40 in google. You will find a ton and go from there....

I got the new model MES40 at Sam's, not sure if you are a member there or not.  It was $299 plus $13 shipping.

It's weird, all of a sudden seems like everybody is going MES crazy.

Here in Charlotte, I've seen commericals and heard advertisments about them on the radio. 

And, the price of them have dropped tremendously.  I have 2 30''.  I can't even sell one because no one is willing to buy a used smoker when they can get a new one for close to nothing.
