So what is your opinion? Do you apply rub to your turkey before smoking it (post brining), or not?

In the past I have used rub, but I just noticed that I'm running low. I was hoping your input would help me decide whether to smoke them as is, or run out and get ingredients tonight after work to make more rub. Just want to be prepared for my early morning smoking tomorrow.

Thanks and happy Thanksgiving!

This is a personal preference thing. If you like your smoked items with a rub then do it. Some people don't brine and instead inject and vice versa. Me I did a brine and will also be injecting and rubbing down my bird.  This is my first bird though so I pulled out all the stops.  So it's all a matter of what you like.

Happy Thanksgiving.
