Been a fan of this forum for some time so finally I decided to join. Can't wait to be able to tap the incredible wealth of knowledge on the forum.

I am pretty new to smoking, mostly done fish and ribs in the past and it was more like cooking them with some smoke flavor since I have the el cheapo Brinkmann electric smoker still. I've had success with whole hogs on a home built cinder oven in the past, but really want to get in to the true low and slow smoking.

Look forward to learning a lot here!
