New to smoking

I live in North Carolina. I'm new to smoking and to this forum. I've owned a Phoenix gas grill for years and love to cook out. I have a smoke vault smoker that I converted to natural gas. I've had good experience smoking pork butts and ribs But poor experience with Rubs. This forum looks like a good resource and I hope to learn a lot. I don't have time to visit every day but will visit when I can.

From your moniker it looks like you're living in my home town. I was born in the old (but not, old, old) Rex Hospital at the intersection of Wade Ave. and St. Mary's St. I grew up in east Raleigh in Oakwood.

There are several other folks here living in Wake Country. You guys should get together and share notes.
