Howdy!

Been off and on this site for the past year since I got my Traeger Jr. last Christmas so it's about time I wiggled my way in here to contribute!

I'm a transplanted Texan in southern California.  I've watched my dad use a smoker for years but had never really done it until now - so I guess that is my skill level.  I need to kick it in gear and get him to show me the ways!!!  I really enjoy smoking foods from start to finish and everything in between.  I have just started to get into planning mods for my traeger but with a wedding around the corner, my execution is slow :).  Anyhow, just saying howdy!

Welcome to the forum Gov-. Glad to have you and hope we can help you show your old man how to smoke it up right!

Congrats on the upcoming wedding, and remember, nothing says "I love you dear" like some freshly smoked pulled pork or sliced brisket!

thank you everyone, good to be here but... I see some projects that could get me in hot water with the mrs. to be!

rabbithutch - used to dabble in wood smoking but this pellet smoking is a whole new world to me.

S2K9K - it pains me to say it though!

oldschoolbbq - haha, "execution."  that didn't even dawn on me when I said that.

Welcome to SoCal and welcome to SMF and definitely congrats on the wedding!
