Hello everyone
My name is Greg Cook and my wife bought me a Brinkman dual gas/charcoal smoker grill for my birthday this past April.I have seasoned it and smoked a couple of Pork Butts on it over the summer.I am new to smoking meat but I can honestly say that everything that I have smoked so far has been excellent.Looking for some ways to modify the smoker to keep it a little tighter as far as smoke and temperture control.Seems to take alot of time and fuel to keep it at the correct temp. I have been using the lump charcoal and wood chips from the local Lowes and Home Depot.Just seems to be taking alot of it to do a good 10 to 12 hour smoke.Love this website and all the articles are very informative to a "rookie"like me.I am already addicted to cooking with smoke and look forward to many years of doing it.Just wish that I would have started a little earlier in life.Living in south Florida in Loxahatchee. So I can pretty much smoke year round.
